Content like a fungus

I’ve been spending a fair bit of time on Medium.com, and also doing information architecture work. The result? What started as a blog post for here wound up being my first-ever post on Medium. Why? Because I’m fully aware that most of my audience for this blog is people who know me in real life, and I didn’t want to bore you with a post on Information Architecture.

So, instead, you’re getting a meta post about Information Architecture. Because I’m sleep-deprived enough to think this is somehow a good idea.

I thought about leaving you guys the Lisa-ized version: “Caveat: I love mushrooms!” “Apologies to my friend Ellen, who has studied fungi in depth!” “Mario as an Information Architect!” Instead, you only get one poorly-conceived metaphor, including a slightly heretical comment, as sponsored by two nights of insomnia in a row.
